The OneGlove World Gloving Collective (henceforth referred to as "the Collective") is dedicated to recording found lost gloves.

• All recordings must be undertaken by members of the Collective, using equipment which belongs either to the Collective or to members of the Collective.
• The found gloves must, as far as the Collective is aware, not belong or have belonged to any members of the Collective.
• The found gloves must be, as far as the Collective is aware, enduringly lost (includes abandoned, thrown away, discarded, misplaced, etc).

Really and truly and honestly started on a pleasant, but cold, day. It was a one off trip to alderly edge when a moldy leather glove in a tree was thought to be reminiscent of an old anti-war poster of a hand on the barbed wire entitled "Why?". This was followed by the finding of white kiddies gloves on a hill north of bolton. It was noticed by the then proto-Collective that lost glove pictures were appearing regularly with no apparent rhyme nor reason. It was decided to stop this random meaninglessness in terms of the recording of found lost gloves and that rhyme and reason should be quested for. Thus the Collective was formed to fulfill this quest. Friends of the Collective (FoC) have suggested for sometime that the Collective needed to share its recordings with the world and this web site is the first step towards that goal. A FoC suggested the title OneGlove which the Collective was happy to use.

The recording has been done using a variety of cameras, mainly an ancient old Zenith heavier than a Stalin tank, a Sigma with more functions than really necessary and definitely more than can be remembered and a variety of small compact cameras both 35mm and APS. Quality is not the main concern when capturing found lost gloves, more the display of the spiritual reason and the rhythmic essence of the found lost glove.

The web site is kindly hosted by FoCs at Scandrac, in the future its hoped to set up a site with a dedicated url.
